1. What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. “Local storage” is a similar browser mechanism for keeping small amounts of data on your device. Together they help the Platform work, remember your preferences, and understand usage in aggregate.
2. What we use
- Essential — a session cookie keeps you signed in and lets pages render correctly on the server. The Platform cannot function without these; they are not used for advertising.
- Preferences — we remember choices such as light/dark mode.
- Local storage — for signed-out visitors, saved (hearted) listings are kept in your browser’s local storage and synced to your account when you sign in.
- Analytics — we use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand how the Platform is used. These do not carry your name, phone or email, and are only active once configured.
3. What we do not use
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or “sell” cookie data. We keep tracking to the minimum needed to run and improve the service.
4. Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Platform — such as staying signed in — from working correctly.
